Once again there is a plethora of floral elements adding a touch of elegance to the baked dark berry fruit and earth-scented nose

Sweet dark cherries

notably dry and driving finish

offering bold cassis fruit and hints of dark chocolate underscored by enlivening notes of mint

Ceretto (Bricco Asili), Barbaresco Bernardot Vintage:2001 yet still a little roughThe 2008 Barbaresco Bernardot emerges from the glass with freshly cut flowers, sweet red berries, spices and licorice. Here, too, the fruit is fairly immediate, and while there is good underlying structure, I dont see the Bernardot as a super long term ager. Floral, spiced notes reappear on the well articulated, nuanced finish. Anticipated maturity, 2013 2023.
