the Chiaretto rosé style has been produced for decades and this pale pink example from Selva Capuzza is up there with the best

the wine stays in tank for a further 5 months of maturation and refinement

they have been perfecting their craft as long as any of their European cousins but given their relatively moderate standing on the world stage (certainly not due to their lower winemaking standards) the wines command significantly lower prices – great for us wine-drinkers
