Acquired by LVMH in 2003, Te Kokoa wild yeast, barrel fermented versionprovides a rich, terroir driven counterpoint to the classic style, showcasing depth and balance . Producer & Winemaker Crafted by the Cloudy Bay team with indigenous yeasts, Te Koko undergoes slow fermentation in French oak barrels.
It also works beautifully as a contemplative “digestif” on its own
vibrant style reminiscent of some of the appellation’s finest white wines
enhancing its structure and imparting subtle oak influences
followed by aging in French oak barrels (60% new) for 16 months
and mineral yeasty tones
The wine undergoes extended aging on the lees for a minimum of 7 years
