Beefeater London Dry Gin 1L Chile Absolut Extrakt is part ofDistillery Background and History Beefeater traces its origins to the London gin scene: the Chelsea Distillery (on Cale Street) first opened around 1820, and in 1863 James Burrough purchased it for 400 to expand into gin production. The first Beefeater gin was mentioned in 1876. In 1908 the distilling operations moved to Lambeth (Hutton Road) to increase capacity; then in 1958 production shifted to Kennington in south London at Montford Place. The
