Mouton, Condrieu Chatillon Vintage:2019 This is really quite good

This is really quite good for its level and worth considering for an all-around house red as it should drink well early and with a few years of bottle age

Last year from barrel this was restrained to the point of being almost mute but that is no longer the case as the nose is now overtly expressive with very ripe and again borderline exotic aromas of yellow orchard fruit along with the more classic scents of citrus

The nose displays fresh blackberry and bitter cherry scents

This too is built-to-age and a wine that will likely need 20 years to see its full apogee

This is also quite restrained with its more deeply pitched dark berry fruit-suffused nose that displays notes of freshly turned earth
