Showa Era Boxed Japanese Studio Bizen-Yaki Ceramic Vase Box 19th centuryHere we have a beautiful Japanese Bizen ware flower vase with its original signed box, dating back to the mid 20th century (Showa Era). Traditionally a bizen yaki would have been specifically for Ikebana (the Japanese art of flower arrangement) often gifted for decorating tea ceremony rooms. The ceramic vase (Bizen Yaki) has a classic bulbous silhouette featuring a wide, rounded base that tapers into a slender asymmetrical neck and flared rim, made
