Codori House and Barn Section-Civil War History and the self-promoting and gregariousLocated just south of Gettysburg along the Emmitsburg Road, the Codori Farm was the scene of extremely heavy fighting between Union and Confederate Armies during the Battle of Gettysburg July 1 3, 1863. Nicholas Codori bought the farm in 1854 and began improving it immediately, including the construction of its two story brick house; only to see it all become damaged on July 2 during a Confederate assault on Union skirmishers and then again the next
