I imagine quilted on an early foot powered treadle machine

with that characteristic of that age patina

Be sure and look at all the close-up images as the quilting is done by a highly talented person

It is all hand quilted and love some of the tumbler blocks have been pieced together with more than the one fabric

The superb hand quilting shows off the handwork of the maker and also love seeing the double rod quilting on the border. In between the blocks is a detailed wreath of hand quilting designs. The condition is excellent on this circa 1880s quilt, though some of the blue appears to be earlier. I
