La Rochelle Fine China RSA Blue Danube Gravy / Sauce Boat AntiqueAn attractive vintage tableware fine porcelain gravy sauce boat manufactured by La Rochelle RSA and decorated in the Blue Danube pattern, which displays a band directly beneath the rim in raised relief with scroll and leaf motif followed by a beaded pattern above a continuous carnation, daisy and leaf garland in deep and light blue. This gravy sauce boat has a spout on either side of the longitudinal ends. The item is stamped underneath La Rochelle

later changing its name to Royal Stafford

The item is decorated in Queen’s Claire pattern which is beautiful soft pastel flowers in pink and blue with soft pastel green leaves

the tea plate is in good condition

The item has a frosted glass removable inner liner

Besides requiring a polishing due to vintage patina

In 2014 the trademark was taken over by Rosenthal

we were unable to find any information concerning this manufacturer except that the style and design of this silver plated calling card case could be around the 1930’s – 1940’s and is in all likelihood a Sheffield production based on the hallmarked generic version of the EPNS mark

The bowl itself is exquisitely and intricately decorated on the sides with a silver inlay designed in the rococo style and the rim is also matching in silver trim

Later after the royal visit of King George IV and Queen Mary to the Vale Works – “Royal Vale” was officially used

yellow and pink flowers bloom against a gently yellowed background while the centre of the items are white
