Menpes, Eng., (1860-1938) Watercolor which was created while theEtching, ca. 1880's, Ed. unknown, 3 3 4 x 11 7 8, signed in pencil & titled in the bottom right margin, on cream laid paper with a partial crown and disk watermark. There is an old mat line and a few spots of foxing to the margin outside the plate mark at right, neither visible otherwise a fine, crisp impression of this lovely and beautifully detailed Venetian subject by an artist of Whistler's inner circle.
