"Near Chichester" by Henry Franks Waring, Eng., (1900-1928) Slate Print 6 plus 3 proofsEtching, ca. 1920's, ed. unknown, 6 7 8 x 9 7 8, signed in pencil, on cream laid paper, a very faint mat line and pale glue stains in the outer left and top margins. Waring was a wonderful watercolorist and etcher, but detailed information about the artist is a bit elusive. This lovely print is reproduced on page 90 in "This Realm, This England", by Samuel Chamberlain, Hastings House, NY, 1941.
