A throng of tourists explored the lighthouse and a few ventured down to the rocks that crawl in ribbons to the ocean

This is again one of those times when I was taken more by the view to the east at sunset than I was by gaudy westerly view of the setting sun

It is one of my favorites

There is always something menacing about the surf at Pemaquid Point - even on the calmest days

I thought this might be too gloomy to paint but it has become one of my favorites

It boasts exquisite sunrises and sunsets and has this unusual sculpted sand which is constantly changing. It is as spectacular in winter as it is in summer.
